The goal is to use AI to narrow the so-called energy-efficiency gap—the difference between the energy savings that are technically possible in a factory and those that have already been realized in industry. To this end, an AI-based, scalable energy management platform is being developed on which the factory's machine, building and energy data are brought together. Automated with AI, measures for optimizing energy consumption are derived.
